CPET Discussion Group
The CPET Discussion Group is a group of graduate students and postdocs interested in educational practices and pedagogy. We meet once a term to discuss interesting and emerging topics in the field of higher education with the aim of developing our teaching knowledge and skills for our future positions as educators in academia, industry, and beyond. CPET Journal club is open to all Caltech graduate students and postdocs who are interested!
The theme for the 2017-2018 academic year is Failure. Please attend any or all sessions to talk about the culture of failure on university campuses and in science and how you can approach teaching students how to fail in the classroom. Relavent articles and reviews will be emailed to the CPET mailing list the week before the discussion group meeting.
